Sunday 18th August was the Ladies 36-hole Challenge Bowl competition. 11 ladies competed in challenging windy conditions. After the first round Julie Parry was leading the best gross score with 77, second place was Ruth Skaife-Clarke with 83. The second round saw a change of fortunes with Ruth coming in with 77 gross, Julie 84 gross, so the overall winner of the 36-hole gross trophy was Ruth (160 gross score) by a whisker! There is also a trophy for best nett score over 36 holes, again there was only 1 shot separating 1st and 2nd place, in second was Gail Witcomb, nett 146, Julie Parry taking the honours, with nett 145.

Saturday 24th August saw the club hold the Pannal Trophy medal over 36 holes in dry but very windy conditions. The winner was Neil Richards-Smith with a nett 144 (69 & 75), beating Simon Walker by 1 shot (78 & 67) and Cameron Gallagher came third on count back (71 & 74). A total of 69 players competed. There were 17 twos recorded across the 36 holes played. Neil is pictured below with the Pannal Trophy.
